If you are planning a local move, Molloy Bros. can help. For over 60 years, we have moved hundreds of thousands of families, just like yours, to their new homes. And, as a leading agent for Mayflower Transit -- the nation's most recognized mover -- we have the resources and experience required to handle virtually any type of move.

Since every move is different, our services are customized to meet each family's unique relocation needs. To ensure these needs are identified and met, an experienced move coordinator will be assigned to you and will be your single-point-of-contact for counsel regarding all moving and relocation issues.

Local Moving Charges

Local moves are charged based on an hourly rate as well as travel time. The hourly rate depends on the number of movers and trucks required. Additional costs include packing supplies, packing services, and optional extended protection insurance. We make sure that you clearly understand all of the charges and costs involved with your move and urge you to ask for clarification of anything you may not quite understand. We want to help you and make your move as easy and stress-free as possible.

The movers will wrap all furniture with blankets, disassemble and reassemble furniture as needed, load and unload belongings, and arrange everything in your new place the way you want, all as part of the hourly rate and at no additional cost to you.

Molloy Bros. Moving & Storage also offers packing services for our customers. Packing costs are computed on a per box basis. We can supply boxes, assorted tape, packing paper, and bubble wrap for those who may choose to pack themselves. Our optional packing services are available to make things more convenient for you.

As is required by both state and federal law, Molloy Bros. provides limited liability for every move. Standard Insurance that covers your belongings at $0.60 per pound per article is automatically included at no extra charge. Additional coverage is available at your request.

Long Distance Moving (Interstate)

Exceptional service starts at your door! A complimentary in-home survey is provided for your convenience. The survey allows our estimators the opportunity to perform a visual walk-thru of your home to get an accurate count of cartons and determine the actual weight. After these factors have been established, we're able to provide you with the estimated cost of service. Furthermore, the in-home visit allows both parties to discuss the particulars of the move and become educated on the moving process. Without the in-home estimate, it’s very hard to provide an accurate estimate (You should not trust a quote given over the phone or on the internet!).

On the day of the move, our company drivers whom have been properly trained and background checked, provide customary services such as a pre in-home inspection, protection of your home where necessary, inventory of your goods, blanket wrap, disassembly and assembly of your furniture and in most cases packaging of your mattresses. Additional packing services, crating and auto transportation services are available.

All long distance (interstate) moves are overseen by a personal coordinator available to answer any questions you may have. Molloy Bros. Moving & Storage will ensure that your long distance move is handled efficiently to make your transition as smooth as possible from start to finish.

Long Distance (Interstate) moves include the following:

Single point of contact (MOVE COORDINATOR)
Secure padding of your items to ensure that they are not chipped or damaged during transport
Complete inventory of your items via numbered stickers
A copy of the inventory list given to you at time of departure
All heavy furniture and/or boxes will be loaded onto the bottom of the truck
All lighter weight furniture and/or boxes will be loaded on top
Packing and unpacking of boxes if needed
Basic liability insurance coverage
Friendly door-to-door service

Other Services

Molloy Bros. Moving & Storage also offers its clients transportation services for their auto, boat or motorcycle. We can coordinate your vehicle transport simultaneously to meet the logistical needs of your move. Enclosed and open car carriers are available for transportation. Door-to-door and terminal services are available for your convenience. We will make every effort to insure your transport is handled in a timely and safe manner.

Large Fleet

Molloy Bros. Moving & Storage maintains our own fleet of long distance moving trucks - all dispatched and controlled by our own, in-house Central Dispatch Department. This allows you the peace-of-mind of a local presence on your move - even if your destination is thousands of miles away.

Payment

The driver is required by law to collect payment for your move before your shipment can be unloaded. If your shipment is placed in storage, charges up to that point are due at that time. Payment must be made in cash or by certified or cashier’s check, travelers’ checks, credit card or money order. A copy of the bill of lading signed by the driver will be your receipt.

Each move is placed in our Service Watch Program that is geared to simplify every portion of your move and make it as trouble free as possible.
